Our role in conceptualizing meaningful projects begins at home, where studio practice and life align. We identify ourselves within a cross-disciplinary, open framework, which leads to diverse projects of experimentation and extensive research—facilitated by an intuitive process of collaboration with partners, clients, and communities. This participation engages one with defining and forming the area between self and space, interior and exterior, architecture and landscape, design and object. Projects culminating from this approach are indexed in the field and on this site.

A graduate of The Cooper Union, Linda Taalman's practice — first founded in 1998 under the studio name OPENOFFICE — operates within a wide array of Architecture, Art, and Design projects: cultural institutions; houses; retail; restaurants; art installations; furniture and objects. She is also the founder of IT HOUSE INC. where she developed a highly lauded and coveted design for a prefabricated glass house. An active professor of Architecture, she continually engages in participation of lecture series home and abroad. Her work is among private collections and institutions such as MoMA and The Vitra Design Museum.
